Sidetrack cafe

My wife and I popped into the cafe for brunch. The menu was simplistic enough to help us make decisions; there's nothing worse than a menu too busy to be helpful. My wife ordered pancakes. I ordered a croissant. The presentation of the food was good. The food was tasty. Portion sizes were modest. The atmosphere was unique. Artwork lines the walls that immediately made an impression on me. I would bring my wife back to relive more of that magic.

Enjoyed the delicious halloumi stack this morning. It exceeded expectations! The house made rosti were exceptional, the many different components were all super tasty and every bite filled with flavour and texture. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Mount Big Breakfast and our coffee was hot, strong, delicious and beautifully presented. The two lovely ladies that served us were friendly and professional. Honestly can’t wait to return! I also had a marmite and cheese scroll to take away, and it’s so yummy too!

Staff were happy and welcoming. Cabinet food looked tasty. Mocha's were good, choc to coffee ratio was great. My husband had the breakfast croissant and I had the pancakes. The portion size was generous and filling. We will be back.

I come here a couple of times a week, and the experience is always excellent. Raju and Lucy provide warm, friendly service that makes you feel welcome every time. The coffee is consistently great, and the scone I had today was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend!

Loved our time here after climbing the Mount early morning. Great coffee with the nice Almond Breeze milk. Eggs on toast with avo and tomato for $15, which is reasonable locally. Kids loved the chia pudding and croissants. Menu said kids pancakes, but there wasn't any...tried the hot healthy immunity drink and it was nice.

Nestled along the bustling Mount waterfront with ocean views, this café creates delectable Whittaker's Sante Bar Hot Chocolates, perfect for a fresh winter's morning. Their Pain Au Chocolat is also incredibly tasty. Beware of the seagulls who don't wait to be invited to swoop down and try to steal the delicious food on offer.

We came to this cafe every day for a week after walking up or around the Mount. Every time the service was amazing, the coffee delightful and the Banana/Chia loaf perfect. Best place for a coffee and always buzzing with people
